He has two advanced Engineering (MS) and Management (MBA) degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He did his undergraduate work at Indian Institute of Technology. He was the winner of Institute Medal for being the top graduating student from the Chemical Engineering Department. An avid public servant, he is one of the founding members of The Boston Pledge, and is involved with multiple philanthropic initiatives around the world.
